greetings! I’m kristi keller

And, depending on the season, both of these are 100% me!

First things first:

I’m not a Substack sage, guru, or coach.

I’m your peer and I want EVERYONE to achieve exactly what they came to Substack for, whether it be a massive media empire or an intimate space for their poetry.

Each of our writing goals is valid and the behind-the-scenes junk is just collateral damage nobody wants to deal with…except me!

Nobody seems to be offering to do the grunt work behind the scenes.

Backend grind is like the wallflower no one wants to dance with. It’s the sweatshop nobody wants to work in.

My top reasons for virtually assisting other Substack writers:

  • I have the patience of a saint and a Tetris-like fetish for tidiness and organization of online spaces.

  • I want Substack writers to succeed at writing…NOT at becoming their own administrative slaves.

  • I wanted a job I could do in sweatpants and an office my dog could come to. (Most Important!)

  • I asked around and Substack writers answered. Nobody loves doing chores!

  • I don’t want any of us to feel intimidated or bogged down with backend work that inevitably needs to get done.

  • On TV, remote entrepreneurs pack up their dogs and move to the Bahamas. I can get behind that.

My relationship with Substack:

I launched my very first Substack publication way back in 2017 when the platform was roughly six minutes old. It was called ‘Beach Dirt’ and it served as an offshoot of my travel blog, containing 100% paid content. I closed up that newsletter when I retired the blog in 2019.

Since then, I’ve launched several other newsletters including my main publication, Wildhood Wanted , and my lovechild, Dog Snobs.

In spending so much time on Substack, clearly, I must love the platform itself.

Before my time on the Stack, I was married to WordPress for 10+ years, building and developing a wide array of websites and blogs. Now, I currently dabble in Squarespace for pretty websites. That’s what you’re looking at right now.

So, if you need a reference on whether I have the patience and skill for this type of work, this blue-fonted section has been your answer. WordPress alone requires the patience of a Saint. 😂
